IB opportunities for rising senior

To preface, I’m a finance major at a non target school in the south that played a division 3 sport with a 3.5+ gpa. I started recruiting for IB late and only got one interview with a small boutique bank in the south. Got my technicals down and after that was asked to do a case study for them on an industry but did not a get a SA offer after this. Currently interning with a regional commercial bank in Biz Development but am still interested in the IB path. Considering a MSF from a top program like Vanderbilt or UT. Just curious what my next steps should be as far as when to apply again for internships and if my plan is still doable or if I should consider other areas of finance.

I would recommend looking into those MSF programs; they have excellent placements and are probably much easier to get into than a full-time position without previous IB experience.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that a good number of SA positions for next summer have already been filled, right? I normally agree with the "delay a semester" move.

OP can still recruit for a SA position without officially declaring to move their grad date and see if they get any looks in the next few months. Otherwise, It would need to be a MSF / lateral play
