IB SA to FT AM - Advice?

Hi guys, recently finished my SA stint in IB. Great experience, but the nature of the work and hours made me rethink the career path I want to take for the next few years of my life. Would much rather have better WLB than sweat IB type hours in a city I don't enjoy living in. Relative pay cut isn't such a huge factor (shocking I know).

Wondering if anyone has any advice for leveraging an IB internship when recruiting for grad roles in asset management

It’ll be difficult, very difficult, most the people I see that got a FT AM position at another firm done another AM internship at another firm, never really seen IBSA->AMFT. So what I will say is apply for internships and tailor your CV

Thank you, that's helpful. So even though I am about to be in final year of studies, you would say it is better to apply for internships with asset managers rather than go straight for FT roles?
