IB seniors, what is the difference between top and bottom-bucket analyst?

Of course, there is the usual low hanging fruit such as

  • Making less silly mistakes

  • Thinking about context

  • Going above expectations

But I'm still curious to get the opinion of those that have been in the industry for a decent amount of time. Thanks.
