Starting my analyst position soon and due to some last minute changes am having to switch groups. What are exit options coming from IB to PERE? Would an industry coverage group (C&R) look significantly better/worse than a public finance analyst?

yeah you kind of just saved urself by swapping out of Pub Fin if you were trying to go into PE (also not to be that guy but its REPE not PERE) coverage will give you infinitely better looks then muni bonds
Does that matter as much for MM firms? I'm not trying to go to a Blackstone/KKR mega fund, more MM to get more WLB after doing my 2 years
