IB to Private Banking
Ignore title, I’m a sr. analyst in sector coverage. Absolutely hate this fucking job and the hours. I hate it. Anyway I have a family friend who’s a BB MD serving ultra high network clients at the BB’s private bank. He says he can help me get a job. What are your opinions on PB monkeys?

U tryna leave too? Lmfao
had family in PB, they had great WLB and good comp. Seems to be a great gig
Following. Want to make same move also lmao
+1 also considering this!
Is base comp aligned, i.e. c 175k assoc 1 base at large banks in PB?
Feasible to switch after 2-3 yrs of IB / PE analyst to Assoc lvl PB?
Reading anecdotally on here and it doesn’t seem like base is aligned
I’m curious as well, what is comp progression like as a PB?
Bump

Does nobody have insight on this?
I’m not tryna be a pioneer

Coochiephobia
Assuming it’s JPM, associates make $150k plus $25k for every $5m of assets gathered (includes lending).
