I know PE is a common exit opportunity for IBD, and there are a few others such as VC, CorpDev, or consulting. Two questions:
What is your goal for exiting after IBD (i.e. PE)?
If you don’t achieve that exit (i.e. didn’t get PE), what’s your backup exit?
I’m mostly interested in learning how common CorpDev is as someone’s first choice exit vs. backup vs. not interested.
