IBD Retainer Practices: Current Trends
Does anybody happen to know if firms such as Two Roads Advisors charge a retainer for their deals and what their estimated commission percentage is? I got interested since they seem to close deals fast, especially as I've seen M&A firms charge zero retainer, such as Offdeal. Even for elite investment banks, not charging a retainer seems to be a practice (I've seen several deals handled by bigger banks with no retainer).
