Just an idea, and others are free to argue with me, but I would not pick a place like GS if you want a shot at moving to FO within your own bank.
If I had to do back office I would try to avoid a BB. Smaller firms seem more willing to move people from BO/MO to FO

Do it at gs for the name. You won't get gs FO but have a shot at tier 2

What about specific groups or positions? Suppose, if someone wanted to work in S&T, is there any group/division that would be the best for moving to an FO role?
