IFRS or GAAP in Asia IB recruiting?

In terms of recruiting for Asia (e.g. Hong Kong) IB, do you need to know IFRS? If so, what are some good sources to learn?

Focusing on interview questions, I study in the states so my school only teaches GAAP.
