I’m not happy

I just got my offer for a top BB (GS / MS / BOFA / JPM) and now I don’t know what to do with my life. I spent the last 6 months of my life grinding away for a job and now I feel empty every time I wake up. Does anyone have any suggestions??

don't do ib it's a soul-sucking industry, and give your bofa offer to me instead

As a senior in high school, waiting for college decisions, I got on this app (sort of like the new A2C subreddit). Fast forward 2 years, I got into one of my favorite schools and my dream internship at the top EBs and now idk what to do.

I had no connections; I'm South Asian and middle-income. My entire life at one point (like probably 3 weeks ago) revolved around getting an offer and comparing myself to others on this app and LinkedIn. Now that I'm done, I feel relieved, but idk what to do now.  Grinding in retrospect didn't seem as bad as it actually was.

Funniest

I know how you feel. I also recently accepted a top offer from a GS / MS / Baird / JPM. That post-elite offer emptiness is truly all consuming if you’re not careful.

Don’t let the emptiness win when you wake up. You already began the journey of change by posting about your offer to internet strangers.

I suggest you take a shower in pure prestige, wear your best off-the-rack suit and Macy’s dress shoes you bought on sale, slap a BOFA sticker on your laptop, and write a multi-paragraph post on that same laptop on LinkedIn thanking every girl that ever rejected you so real-life strangers can also admire you.

Keep your chin up and I have a good feeling you’re gonna be a top bucket full time employee in a couple years. Just don’t spend the $40k bonus(*) all in one place.

(*) Assumes you just signed an MBA Associate offer.
