Impact of COVID on Investment Banking Associate recruting
Hey guys,
With investment banking events being mostly virtual this fall and with a lot of foreign citizen's currently not being able to obtain visas, is there going to be a dramatic change in Investment Banking recruiting? Or are banks just going to adjust and bring in smaller #'s of summer associates?
Curious as to what you all think COVID and visa restrictions are going to do to the associate recruiting process.
Investment banking will move online, we will communicate with each other via a VR office, play golf with clients using VR and motion control. No visa needed.
They are hiring for the class of 2022 so I would imagine the banks expect a much improved economy by that point. Hopefully the total hires are close to normal.
