In an equally good/bad situation. Can anyone relate?

So I’m in a strange position in my career and don’t know if I should stay or go. I’m starting to feel too cozy and am craving a more aggressive shop/role.

Background:

First job was at a brutal sell side shop for 2yrs on an institutional trading desk in Greenwich. Did the reverse commute from downtown NYC (3hrs a day) so you can say there was little W/L balance.

Left for a MO role on the buyside at a BB in Corporate Treasury as an Sr. Analyst and have been here for 18mths (NYC). The complete opposite pace (for those who know Treasury). The intention was to network into a FO role after 2yrs while gaining FI / structured debt product knowledge. Learned a lot and internal networking is maxed out.

I sit next to the traders and have built tremendous rapore at many levels and have directly impacted the business in quantifiable ways. Leaving for another MO maybe FO externally is an option because of this. Pay IMO is above market around $100-115k range (OT w/o bonus). Work/life balance is extremely good. I get in around 9:30 and leave around 5:30 when it’s slow. Manage/lead my own projects. Sometimes take an hr lunch or run errands during the day. Take any days I want out the yr. Work from home capabilities. 10 minute walk to the office from apartment. Great boss who told me I’m being promoted to either an associate or SA this quarter (pay increase +bonus eligible).

Haven’t seen any internal lateral move opportunities since everyone in my LOB is older and cozier than me. I’m used to the action and don’t mind the grind. Still aspire to make the FO move. Would you stay and play it out or go?
