Gridlock in congress is definitely a roadblock for socialized healthcare, regardless of who’s in the Oval Office. Supreme Court is also knocking down ACA and other government programs, for better or worse. It’ll be interesting to see what comes to the floor in the next few years, and hopefully a balance can be struck between the ultra progressive and more conservative. Not bullish though, expecting some flame wars honestly.

Most people also don’t realize this but a lot of the “good” Medicare programs are run by private health insurance companies because most states can’t handle managing Medicare on their own as is
