Honestly, I would be concerned. But not that you lose your job because first people to get kicked out are VPs and Directors instead of Analysts. But overall CS seems to distance itself from Investment Banking and its recent scandals have led to an immense exodus of seniors. Also, the risk appetite will decrease and it will focus more on Wealth Management. For example, CS won many mandates because of their financing capabilities (it is one of the best LevFin banks) and I would be concerned that this will be impacted by the recent development.

Short answer, yes be concerned but don’t consider lateral. Long answer: CS is a strong firm with capabilities around the world in every industry. It’s going through tough times and it’s absolutely concerning about the long term future of the bank. Unless a merger, sale, or exiting a huge business like AM, it’ll mainly be status quo at CS and I wouldn’t worry. You’re joining a reputable franchise despite the recent issues, and the name carry’s immense weight in the industry
