Incoming FT Analyst Timeline (summer '20)?
Hey everyone! Didn't see this posted anywhere, but I was wondering what the situation was with incoming FT analysts and whether your banks have gotten back to you on what the summer's going to look like (NYC specifically). Heard Jeffries is taking their training virtual with an August start date, curious to see what's going to happen with everyone else.
Going to a GS/JPM/MS in NYC and was told we would get an update about start date in Mid-May. Otherwise currently no changes.
JPM right?
GS here, heard the same thing
GS said same
Our incoming analysts got basically the same email - NY EB. Update by mid-May.
Still seems like a toss up whether training will be moved online.
One of the BBs is starting to get past summers (non-FT recruits) to start working before running the full summer on-boarding process.
Believe this is BAML
Yup its baml
My virtual training starts mid-July and will be in the office in late August. We were told that if the situation gets better, training might be switched to in-person.
Seems like it would be short notice to switch training like that re: housing and moving
I doubt it'll happen! The email phrasing was implying that it would be a change to benefit the analysts! Virtual training is not everyone's first choice so I think that's why they tossed that in there. If it does, I would assume it would be an opt-in situation too.
Which bank is this if you don't mind?
Which bank is this if you don't mind?
Wells Fargo
any word on citi?
Looks like they are waiting on making a concrete decision
yup got that email from them today too
Here's an older thread on this topic that I just found:

I think the timeline for SIE/series exams is going to get messed up as well given testing center closure through the end of May, but this may be state-to-state.
Emailed HR@ JPM, was told we should hear some kind of update in early May.
Can confirm
Nothing from my EB yet. We got an email over a month ago saying they are assessing the situation and we should hear back re: next steps in a few weeks.
MS london pushed back training to early August start and confirmed it would be all virtual
do you think this will be the same for NYC?
since they pushed back, did they mention when pay starts? assuming that would get pushed back to August too?
100% I think, emails have been firmwide re updates on the situation for FTs
Update on BAML?
