Incoming IB Analyst: Best Ways to Prepare?

Starting full-time as an IB analyst in about 8 weeks.

I interned in banking last summer and got the return offer, but I've been away from it for almost a year. To be completely honest, if you asked me to build a model from scratch today, I'd be in trouble. I've retained a lot of the concepts, but my technical skills are definitely rusty.

For those already in the industry, what would you specifically recommend I do over the next 8 weeks to best prepare?

I'm looking for concrete advice rather than generic answers.

If you were in my position and essentially had to rebuild your technical toolkit before starting, how would you spend the next 8 weeks?

Appreciate any advice from analysts and associates who have been through it.

Touch grass instead you’re gonna be doing BS work for the first while anyway there’s no need to do all this

Yes, about 20 days of training. During which you can put in extra work during your down time. This final weeks are precious, trust me, you will regret worrying about it.
