Incoming SA: When Can I Tell People What Group I'm in?

Have received verbal commitment that I will get a specific group, but group placements won't formally come out until a week or so before the internship starts.
I want to let people in my network know what group I'm in but also don't want to be presumptuous/jump the gun.
