Insight on Non-Responsive Contact at BB after First Round Interview

I have been in close contact with an analyst at a BB on the west coast and had a first round interview with that BB around a week and a half ago (haven't heard anything after the first round). I texted my contact to check-in a few days ago and he/she told me to get back to them after recruiting ends.

What do you guys think this means? Do we think this means I've been dinged? Any insight would be helpful, thanks.

I would think it through from both angles, which I think it will shed some light on what you should do.

Situation A: You did well at the interview and will get the superday, irrespective of whether your contact had any influence. Situation B: You got dinged.

Situation B is straightforward. You won't hear anything back, and will have no reason to reach out again anytime soon. In Situation A, you will get the superday within a few weeks. If that happens, you can reach out to let your contact know that you will be at the superday, or you can wait until after the superday or after you receive the offer (if you do).

In either case, I don't think there is any benefit to pushing it, since you've already had the first round. If you really feel compelled to do so, you could follow up via email in a week or two. But judging from the way you worded the response, is sounds like he/she is hinting at the fact that he/she has already done everything in his/her power to help. Analysts don't have much pull past getting the first round. In my opinion, it sounds like you're in a good position as long as you feel good about the interview, and simply have to wait it out.
