They were absolutely more cutthroat and diversity played a huge role in offers

Grad classes are very diverse - 50% gender split & minority white.. so your return chance is higher if you are a women/not-white , ideally both lol.

As for % return rates, It's typically pretty high 60-90% , In most years once you are in for the summer the FT is yours to lose and unless you fuck up or are a moron your chances are pretty great.

I would expect it will skew a bit lower this year but the gears need to keep turning and fresh meat is always needed (and cheap).

Citi Houston office cut the only person of color intern they had. The incoming class is 12 white people.

Any citi interns had a catch-up call with HR? They basically said that getting an offer would be much harder this year. Obv true but kinda afraid that they said that specifically to me to lmk that i wont get one

Citi's posted their vacancies online. Only FRM is recruiting FT. This means that Citi has/will fill(ed) their Analyst classes for IB, CM, CB etc., from the Summer Analyst cohort.

Can't say anything about return offers/rates at the moment, though. But I hope/anticipate them to be higher than last year, maybe in the 70% region. I know for certain that TTS, Citi's biggest money-maker, only had 7 interns. It doesn't make sense for them to take so few unless they were of the view of converting as many people as possible.

Similarly, IBD had 50 something people, that's down over 20 from 2022. Converting some 70% means returning like 36 people -  I don't think that's out of the question.

Capital Markets I understand had 12 or 13 people. So I expect them to return maybe 9 or so.

But we can only wait and see.

I can only see FT IB for Frankfurt and Paris, where are you looking? I thought that the new postings would be out on the 4th

I was checking Workday and the other sites Citi uses to post listings.

Why would there be more out on the 4th? They already know what the headcount is going to be now - they've already had Hiring Committee this week.

I strongly do not believe Citi is opening any positions for London. I also had a look at the Germany posting and looks like that's for an experienced hire anyhow.

The worst case scenario is 30-40% return rate, that would mean between 15-20 return offers for EMEA IBD

Anyone got anything on Capital Markets? How did it look in America or any rumours for EMEA?

You're actually annoying. Just leave with your nonsense, unhelpful comments.
