Internal mobility - DB

Anyone have any insight into internal mobility at DB

Recently had my review. Decent overall. MD expressed I’m on the right track and wants me to be on the team for the long haul. I am pretty interested in moving to a product group though (Lev fin or DCM). Most of the names I cover are IG so there’s a lot more overlap with DCM

the question is how do I go about this - I don’t have a staffer so would need to discuss this directly with the Md which can obviously backfire on me. Given DB is in a cost reducing environment, I don’t exactly want to signal I’m not interested in working on my current team...

Any thoughts from someone that has transitioned internally at DB or another firm?
