International focused undergrad degree and obtaining an IB position

I am interested in IBanking although fairly uninformed as of yet to what IBanks specifically look for in selecting employees. Something that I have been wondering about is whether or not IBanks are preferring individuals with an international mindset/outlook because of the emergence of markets and capital in other nations (namely China). Say for instance, would finance/international business major from Stern have a leg up compared to a regular finance major from Stern, or would an international econ major from Georgetown SFS be more appealing than a regular econ/finance candidate from Georgetown. Lastly, what is the general attitude on Wall St. towards non- HYPSWharton grads. Thanks.
