International lateral to U.S. BBIB / EB roles

Hi monkeys,

I’m currently a first year analyst at a U.S. BBIB (GS / MS / JPM) in an APAC office. I want to apply for second year analyst roles in the U.S. next year and wanted to get advice on the best approach. There seem to be a number of recruiters for PE roles but have yet to come across any that specialise in banking laterals (especially internationally). Is the best approach to just reach out directly to bankers overseas? Any advice is appreciated. Please ignore visa issues (would not be going on a H-1B).
