International student attending Indiana University currently in the Korean army looking for ideas to raise his chances in bankin
Hello,
I finished sophomore year at Indiana University (a semi-target school?) majoring in Finance and Biology. Due to my lack of an American citizenship, I'm currently stuck in the Korean army for the next 18 months. Unfortunately, I don't have any finance experience under my belt, but have been active in the finance club at my school and became interested in IB. Specifically, I would like to join IB and work in the health care/biotech group to use my both knowledge in biology and finance....However, since I am an international student, I know that I'm working with a disadvantage and would like to know what I can do in the army to boost my competitiveness and work towards obtaining an internship once I go back to school. I'm planning on taking the CFA lvl 1 exam in December, but I do not have any other concrete plans. Any ideas? Thank you!
