International Students - 2021 SA Internship

Hi,

I am an international student who was fortunate enough to land an SA gig for this summer despite the challenges with COVID and Visa issues and genuinely wish the best to those who may still be recruiting or even preparing for FT. To any other international fellow students, previous interns or to anyone else who has any advice or opinion this, I was curious to know if you are planning to intern abroad at your home or in the U.S. and if you have interned at home with big-time differences, how that experience was and what were some of the challenges that you had. Any thoughts on whether it might be a good idea to move to where you are working (regional office for me) instead of working remotely at your home in the U.S. or abroad at your (international) home?

Thanks for the inputs as always!

At my MM bank HR told me to be back in the U.S. for tech, regulatory and tax reasons. Might be different in yours tho. Would recommend to just reach out to HR and see if they let you do the internship at home (country)
