I'm a junior with an internship at a boutique and I'm trying to leverage the experience into FT at a BB or MM. However, I also want to get an offer from the boutique so I can leverage that. I have to tell give the HR guy an ending date for the internship.
Ideally, I would want to get my internship done before the accelerated super days at the other firms. I also want time to prep for Fall interviews. I come back to school in mid-August.
When would you advise that I have my internship end?
Tell them when it's best for you. If they told you that the end date is at your discretion, then you have control.
I know. I'm trying to figure out a good date to choose. I want it to end before the interview process starts in the summer at other banks.
When do most BB firms end their internships?
First or second week of August.
