Internship Vs Travel
So I am 20 and in my second year of a three year degree in economics in Ireland. I would love to pursue a career in investment banking after completing my degree. I know that getting an internship is very important on a CV when it comes to applying for jobs after college but I feel that this summer is my last opportunity to travel and see the world before I am tied down by work. I have a chance to spend the summer in America which I would love to do but I'm not sure if this will hurt my chances of getting into a good program after college. Any advice? Thank you
If you don't have any real experience you should do the internship. Nobody wants to hire a kid with a degree & no experience when they are out of college...
You can take a trip after you graduate and before you start FT. Why intentionally shoot yourself in the foot?
