Investment Banking - Calgary

The Calgary threads on this forum (few and far between as they may be) are a bit scattered with a lot of the info a few years stale. I figured I would take advantage of some of my downtime during Stampede (while I am still sober) to maybe get some fresh info from the Street.

Some items for my personal interest: (non-exhaustive)

1.) how does compensation compare with other cities in Canada and North America?

2.) how does culture / quality of life / WLB / lifestyle compare with other cities in Canada and North America?

3.) how do exit opps and career development (for the career bankers among us) compare to other cities in Canada and North America?

4.) what are some of the best (and/or worst) shops on the street for reputation / deal flow / hours / culture / comp / career development?

5.) how do we think Calgary deal flow will be for the next 5 years compared to the previous 5 years?

6.) Do you like working here?

7.) For those who have worked in Calgary and any other city, what is the reputation of Calgary to non-Calgarians?
