Investment Banking - Help/Advice!
Just looking for some advice really, as I feel like I’m chasing something that may never happen. I will try and be as brief as I can, but my background isn’t brief at all.
Some information to set the context
- 27 years old
- Graduated from a non-target university with a First Class in 2021
- Studying at a target university for my masters (finance) and due to graduate in 2023
- Several Investment Operations qualifications, and I’m due to take CFA Level 1 in May 2022
- Nearly 10 years of work experience - 4 years of finance and 6 other
- Current job is Investment Analyst
- Recently accepted an M&A research position at a boutique firm
The real question is - and I want the cold-heart truth - do I have much chance at achieving a position at a BB bank?
if so, what are my options? Summer Analyst or a different route? Or apply for a full time position in line with my expected end date for my masters?
