Investment Banking in Paris

Can anyone share their experience with IBD in Paris? Planning to move to Paris, so want to know better whether it holds a strong case against Frankfurt.

Specifically, I seek to understand possibility of moving as a non-French speaker - has anyone done this? Also, I want to understand what are the top mid-market boutiques, and any other valuable insights.

Super hard to move to a Bb as a mon French speaker

Impossible to do French mid market without being fluent. You just won’t be able to do the job day to day.

CEOs and CFOs will speak English even in the mid market, but as you go into the organisation communicating will become an issue. Think about talking to whoever helps managing a vdr, financials, etc. It’s just going to be a non starter

Impossible if you don't speak french. Take 2 mins to check job listings, it's always one of the first requirements.

How so?

Corporate Banking is more about relationship management, which seems even worse than IB where you actually have to manage clients without speaking the native langauge.
