Investment Banking vs Sales and Trade Recruiting
I'm currently a high school senior and I'm interested in sales and trade. Going into college I'm not really sure how different the process of investment banking recruiting and sales and trade recruiting are. Is it the same process of investment banking? Majority of the stuff online is just talking about how to break into investment banking, but I don't see much about sales and trade and I'm not sure how different the process is. I wanted to know what are some differences and similarities in the recruitment process and overall structure of breaking into these career paths? Thanks for reading.

I wish I could tell you that you should go watch TV or hang out with ur friends and get ready for college, but unfortunarty things are not that way anymore. Depending on the college you go to, you should really try to recruit for the investment clubs or funds. Do research, reach out to members over the summer. If you are at a semi target this will be a great straight shot for S&T. Really its a matter of replicating the skill set that that career has. Find alumni and find people who work in the field. S&T guys talk on the phone a lot, so maybe cold call once you are at college.
Also its sales and trading, and make sure you are willing to actually work in this field.
There are plenty of resources you can find on this website to help you.
