This is definitely market for someone who's only completed one year. You're not coming in at a manager level with only 1 YOE, you're essentially still at entry / post-grad level. I know a couple of people that exited to FAANG Corp-Dev roles with 2-3 YOE that are making ~$160-$200k all in, so would expect non-tech / non-FAANG to be below that.
If this is a 9-5 or very close to it, I'd say this is decent. If it's an acquisitive company where you're working nearly banking hours and consistent weekends, I'd think twice
At the end of the day opportunities at 1 YOE are pretty limited, so if you want out of banking this isn't materially below market right now. The corp dev market just has not come up the same way as the IB market has as there's no shortage of IBers looking to do corp dev these days
Yeah that makes sense but ask about bonus/benefits and path to equity comp (sometimes its manager level, others its vp+).
Associate in corp dev isn't very lucrative. Seems like you're fine with that general idea having ruled out PE. Meaningful corp dev raises usually come with promotions, so be sure to go to a company that is highly acquisitive... an empty deal sheet hurts promotion chances and exit opps.

Seems fair given experience and location.
How are your hours
At or slightly above market for 1 YOE.
not really - this was market 5 years ago - $120k is pretty rough in NYC with rent in current situation - still need a roommate (or multiple)

In NY? Or somewhere else

All-in or base? If base that’s pretty solid after 1 year of IB

Curious if there are any datapoints for a Director/VP salary range?
