Is a part of Morgan Stanley's S&T division now part of Smith Barney?
I met some people from various divisions within MS, and apparently, some of the people in the "Capital Markets" division of MS have business cards that say Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, but their positions sound very similar to S&T positions, such as Fixed Income Sales etc. On the other hand, people working in S&T (NOT capital markets) did not fall under the umbrella of Smith Barney. I was sorta confused....MS's global capital markets looks very similar to S&T, but apparently its different. Anyone know why this is the case?
