Is Econometrics a useful degree?

Hi everybody, I am currently studying on an undergraduate business program and considering econometrics as a master`s degree. Upon graduation I would like to work in the field of IB, portfolio management or real estate investing. Is econometrics a useful degree for these paths or statistics/some other degree would be much more preferrable?

Thanks in advance!

If you want to do IB out of undergrad there's no need to get a masters unless you don't get an offer anywhere. Still not sure how much more it would improve your chances. MBA is a different story.
