Does IB differ in London or HK compared to NYC, and if so, how? Curious to hear from those who’ve worked in numerous offices / geographies.

Interested in general culture, environment, hours, pay etc

London - fewer hours than for my NYC role, CoL was lower than in NYC, less rain, work culture quite different (more passive/indirect), people generally ok to work with, smaller apartments/houses, absolutely not a driving city (no parking, traffic, tolls/fees), decent amount of hobbies but not full-circle as in other places

NYC - I worked more hours, higher CoL in my case, work culture more direct, more diverse workplace, better quality apartments IMO at much higher prices, you can drive if circumstances allow for it, still not great for parking. NYC will introduce tolls for Manhattan soon.IMO more hobbies/interests around NYC.

Travel around Europe is amazing from London, of course.
