Is IB recruiting easy for Internationals at T15 MBA schools?
As the title reads, is IB recruiting for the associate position easy for International students (i.e., those that require visa sponsorship) at T15 MBA schools? Any info on which IB firms are sponsoring internationals this year (or perhaps generally do regularly, but are making an exception this year)?
Also, any information on conversion rates for the internationals looking to recruit for IB would be great!
Thank you!
No, recruiting as an international is always challenging. You get dinged right off the bat by half or more of the banks. It's a little easier at M7, but I'm assuming you're in the bottom half of the T15 if you're not just saying M7.
Firms that typically sponsor: GS, DB, BofA, CS, Jefferies, Evercore, Nomura. Technically Citi, but only for 1 or 2 groups. Note this list is from last year and it can drastically change YoY.
Even then, a good chunk of the sponsored candidates are diversity. You should research the lists of who sponsors/does not heavily, network as much as you can, and be open to MM.
