Big Law can eventually get interesting...but as a junior, you're reviewing 10,000 emails and tagging things if they might be relevant to some small specific part of a case. It's not rocket science.
Big law is the most sadistic shit in the world.
Could you possibly imagine how fucking terrible it would be to be a big law associate? Imagine your job consisting of drafting legal language.
Have you ever been on a legal docs call, going over various docs for 2-3 hours, giving verbal comments as a banker? Imagine being the law associate on the ass end of those comments and having to receive verbal comments to LEGAL LANGUAGE.
The only advantage that law has over banking is that more of their comp comes in the form of salary vs. bonus.
