Is it normal for banks to be vague about the sign-on bonus?
Incoming analyst at a BB and I am supposed to get a sign-on bonus. I'm starting very soon and there has been no communication about it. I'm really worried because I don't have a lot of savings left over from my SA stint so I am really relying on this bonus to be able to make my next months rent and have money for food. I don't get how banks don't give the bonus out well beforehand; many first year analysts are fresh college grads and not everybody has the money saved up to move to NYC. It just feels kinda cruel.
I just don’t get why they wouldn’t give a concrete date for when we would receive the payment. Give your employees the ability to plan out their finances. Idk why it’s a secret.
