Is it possible to get an offer without actually interviewing with a bank? I need help!
Fellow monkeys,
I was just wondering - is it possible to get an offer from a BB without actually interviewing with them? (in the interest of anonymity, I'm going to be purposefully vague on some of the details)
I can't tell if the email message I just got was an offer for FT, or just an invite to a superday for full-time.
I'm leaning towards the latter, considering I didn't even interview first round yet, and I think it might just be the wording that's off. (edited out other info)
The email I received from campus recruiting had a subject that said " 'Bank Name' Full Time Superday Invite" but then the first line of the message says "Congratulations on your offer to join our 2014 full time IB Analyst Program!"
So confused right now.
I think it's a superday invite - but I have no idea. And I don't really want to email HR and say "uhh hi, yeah, I didn't interview with you guys yet, but does this mean i have an offer, or is it just for a superday?"
Sounds like someone in HR put the wrong body in the email because I've never heard of anyone getting an offer without even going through at least the formality of an interview. Follow up with HR to clarify.
Phone interview is horse crap anyways. Was there a date and time for the superday? A message about getting further instructions on what to do? I'd email back if not and just ask for those, wouldn't mention the phone interview stuff
