There is for sure more flexibility in off-cycle vs on. It seems like this isn’t an immediate start angle so I think you have a shot tbh. Realistically a month is what would likely happen if they were okay with the idea in the first place. TBH unless you are traveling a month to unwind and decompress is pretty solid. In my experience and others’, there is usually diminishing returns past 1-2 months in terms of marginal happiness/relaxation, etc. You also don’t want to get too rusty…
