Is it possible to start the full-time program straight after finishing the summer intership?
Hi guys. I am a final year stduent from one of the top 4 universities in Britain with no prior internship experience in banking.
While going through the recruitment process for the full-time positions, I have found that having no relavent internship experience is a huge disavantage. So I just made additional applications for summer programs at BBs.
Since I am graduating by the time the internships start, I am very curious about whether banks allow their interns to start the full-time position straight after the end of the summer program or i should wait one year with my unemployment benefit.. (of course assuming that I was good enough to get a return offer)
BTW, i am talking about banks in London
I think your best bet is to just go for FT recruiting. I haven't heard of any banks hiring interns after they graduate school, not to mention just hanging around for a year on unemployment looks and sounds terrible to recruiters.
