Is it worth living in NYC as an analyst?
I understand NYC has the best funnel to MF PE, however, does one even have time to go out / explore the city in a substantial enough way to justify the high rent / taxes of living there?
I lived in stamford and commuted. Basically was able to save like I was being paid 30% more than my peers.
Were you in IB? How is this at all possible at off peak train hours coming home
Place to be for any young person, not just for finance. I would say unless you're at a top 10 sweaty group across the street, you have time to go out 1 night a week at least
