Is Jopwell helpful for breaking into finance as an URM?
With how active that diversity recruiting thread has become, I thought I'd start a separate one to ask this question.
Does anyone know anything about Jopwell? It's supposed to be a career services platform for underrepresented minorities for entry level and advanced jobs. They have a number of internship postings for finance opportunities. Has anyone had success using this channel? Some of their campus ambassadors have gotten investment banking gigs - should I try getting into that to boost my resume and chances? Founders worked at GS. Wonder how their team works with partner firms.
Never heard of this company but I'd imagine applying to an opportunity cold via an online application through any channel won't get you very far.
not as helpful as SEO or MLT
Is SEO/MLT actually helpful?
Somewhat, but the programs are pretty disorgniazed. Nevertheless, I did end up seucring an offer with one of their partner companies, in large part due to the program recommending me for the position.
I tried it and it was trash. Never recieved notifications or updates on any of my applications
Agree with earlier comment about SEO and MLT being more helpful.
I have not heard of Jopwell, but I would recommend SEO's career program if you want to go that route.
Have not heard of Jopwell. SEO Career for finance or MLT for general business opportunities are recommended (to echo above).
