Is my freshman internship holding me back?

Hey everyone,

I’m still actively looking for an internship this Summer. I’m a sophomore at a strong semi-target and looking to get into IB (possibly consulting). My freshman year, through nepotism, I was able to land a data science internship at a prominent pharmaceutical company. I know my life isn’t over but is having a non-finance internship hindering me from potentially getting other internships? I wanted to play it smart and apply to PE/IB boutique with a focus on pharmaceutical/healthcare but I haven’t received anything from the places I applied.

Thank you!
