Is there precedent for firms to shift incoming FT M&A bankers to RX?
Topic is the question above. Seeing if those of us moving into FT positions for M&A might be switched to RX.

Yes, my good friend has RX training next week. Not sure if there is historical precedent, but it can happen.
I guess this is not a perfect answer to your question, as my friend is a current first year. But the answer is Yes if you are wondering about general reshuffling or repurposing. Definitely possible.
An answer much appreciated nonetheless! Do you mind if I PM you to see what firm?
Not sure with historical precedent on RX specifically, but at my old bank incoming analysts would definitely be shifted around if one group happened to be overstaffed while another was severely understaffed. Didn't happen a lot, but it did happen. So I'd assume yes.
