Is this a big f*** up?
I had an online screening interview (~15 mins) with a boutique IB firm in Canada and the interviewer asked me what I think the weekly time commitments are to the job and for some f**ki*g reason I said 50-60 hours and he instantly corrected me with 80-100. I didn’t have any reaction to it (ie scared / flinched) though. Is this a big deal or am i overthinking?
What a lame ass question for an interview. I get wanting to make sure a candidate knows what they are getting into but to position it as a question and give an answer like it's prescriptive is dumb.
I don't think you fucked up and if they perceive it to be one, then consider if it's really a place you want to work.
Was for a summer analyst coop (internship) maybe thats why?
Knowing these canadian hardo ppl at boutiques they may ding for that, especially if its mining
This is why we don't like Canadians (Because of him, not you. You'll become him eventually)
Who cares , bro sounds like a loser and if he’s already shoving 80-100 down your mouth it’s probably going to be even more realistically , and with bad culture
Also it’s canada so
Has to be Agentis
Was thinking the same… they had this super retarded assessment that was like an iq test with a reading comprehension session like the sat. Stupid ass firm
100%, know someone who got asked the exact same question in the 15 minute screening interview
