It’s that time of year again…
FFS it’s that time of year again when everybody and their mother starts posting about the Goldman Insights Series and listing it as work experience.
As someone who participated (but didn’t post lmao) last year, this shit is worthless. Half of it is GS HR trying to sell you on their Salt Lake City location and the other half is looking at recordings that are at least 5 years old. Not a single valuable thing came out of it but why do people treat it like this amazing and exclusive thing.

It’s a win for Goldman so don’t expect it to stop. They get free publicity from all these “diverse” kids so Goldman appears more “diverse” without actually doing anything
I get it from Goldman’s side but I don’t get it from the student side. Like who are you fooling? Everybody knows what it is but they are still circlejerking each other and pledging their souls to Goldman
TBH I think they fool everyone outside of the standard WSO circle. Anyone that is outside of high finance, and from my experience even more senior people that are far removed from the recruiting process are fooled. Attached to the posts, I always see comments from older/out of the loop professionals very impressed LOL
