Japanese summer internships
Anyone have experience with interning in either S&T or IB for a bank in Japan?
I've noticed that many unis in Japan end school for summer break in late July and start in September, so I'm assuming that the internships are not the traditional 8-10 weeks. Does that mean that the internships are only 4-5 weeks long or do the students find sometime during school to come and work to fulfill the 8 weeks?
Summer internships in Japan are great, especially in bigger banks like Nomura. One thing to keep in mind though as a Summer Analyst, is that if you are unable to get a Full Time offer, you are expected to perform Harakiri.
However, if u get FT, u will also qualify for blow jobs from cute high school girls
not sure i can get many cute high school girls as a salaryman in japan haha.
anyone know how long and when summer internships are?
quick bump!
I've been wondering why anyone would even want to be a banker in Japan when all they'd need to do is move to the US or UK, and they could make twice as much as money.
and work fewer hours.
^^ to answer your question, I have Japanese heritage, and I love the country. I dont mind losing some compensation(if any at all) in exchange for amazing food, beautiful women, convenience of living and my love for the culture there.
^ the opinion that Japan works more hours is not necessarily true in all cases.
Prepare to be disappointed.
why so? ive lived there before, and i see no shortage?
