It is basically the legacy Greenhill PCA group. They are one of the best when it comes to Secondaries PE advisory but is not traditional IB. Great from a reputational point of view and I think they have a pretty good culture as well. Comp would be in line with the Jefferies IB comp.
Agreed. Not traditional IB. I can confirm it is made up of the legacy GHL PCA group, has good culture, and that comp is in line with the rest of the firm. They're growing fast and have nearly doubled in size after a hiring spree from what I've heard.
To elaborate a little more, they are the best when it comes to secondaries on the LP side. Evercore (and to some extent maybe Lazard?) have a stronger presence on the GP side of the market.
Evercore, Lazard and PJT are the top players in the GP side of the market. TBD whether any of the new platforms or teams really makes an impression here.
Would you say it is less technicals-focused? Would you prepare for the interview the same way as a traditional IB interview, or would you focus on extra/other topics?
