vertical dependent, decent culture. all are quite busy but there has been alot of turnover of the less productive and more sadistic VP-MDs that has made this better compared to start of CS integration. Group focuses alot on culture fit/why FIG for interviews. Networking seems to be more important this year than last for FT hiring; I know the app was taken down very early due to # of apps and the team was asked to refer priority candidates before this

FIG is a group w strong momentum at the firm and seniors have done a good job improving deal size so you're not pitching for 50mn EV deals anymore. Insurance + MS & T are probably the sweatiest overall. Echo below that you shouldn't worry about spds until next week, the office is empty rn as everyone is WFH until labor day

 

Getting the return matters during the interview stage and people who got the interview would have likely all gotten the return at equivalent or slightly lower shop or did not get one from a top bank, and they all networked.
