curious if anyone has insight on this group in terms of culture and hours? Was told they've closed 19 deals in last 19 months which would naturally lead to longer hours, but wondering if anyone has first hand experience

JEF Charlotte is the Tech-enabled Services group. They're split between NY and CLT. They're a lean group at the bank and they do M&A in house. Good experience for the junior guys since you will get the modeling experience but that will lead to longer hours since you don't have another team to split the work. Other industry groups at JEF will hire the M&A team to help out on deals to ease the load. It's a successful group at JEF.
Do you know how the ADG & Consumer groups are down there in terms of deal flow/culture/exits?
ADG and Consumer are both very active for deal flow in CLT. ADG also has own M&A bankers. Consumer hires M&A team in NY to help. Can't speak much for culture and exits but imagine they also have long hours.
They also have a software group in Charlotte as well.
I think the entire charlotte tech 2nd year analyst class placed into good mm pe shops fyi
Hows Jefferies Tech in SF?
The TES group only has teams in NY and CLT. Source: I accepted offer there…. Unsure on Tech SF
Recent exits include Francisco, TB, Accel KKR, GTCR, FFL out of the JEFF SF office. Heavy deal flow, juniors get good reps. Opens a lot of doors for tech UMM PE.
